St George’s Day takes place every year on 23rd April, which is traditionally accepted as being the date of St George’s death in AD 303. To mark the day, celebrations often include quintessentially British traditions, such as Morris Dancing, eating fish and chips or watching a Punch and Judy puppet show. According to British legend, St George was a soldier in the Roman army who killed a dragon and saved a princess.
