Tick Off Your Bucket List At Atlantis, The Palm This Summer

Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, watersports enthusiast or fancy yourself as a foodie, there’s never been a better time to tick off your bucket list, and where better to do it than at Atlantis, The Palm. With an abundance of experiences across the resort, here is a round up of some of the top ‘must-do’ bucket list activities.

1. Aquatrek Xtreme: An underwater walking tour of one of the biggest open-air aquariums in the world

Those looking for the ultimate underwater experience, should definitely try out the latest state-of-the-art water thrill, Aquatrek Xtreme, which is the deepest in the world. Intrepid explorers descend a ladder 10 metres to the bottom of The Ambassador Lagoon whilst wearing an Aquatrek helmet, which receives a continuous supply of oxygen so your head stays completely dry. Once you reach the bottom, embark on a guided 20 minute underwater walking tour of one of the biggest open-air aquariums in the world, coming face-to-face with 65,000 marine animals including sharks, stingrays, and schools of multi-coloured fish.

  • Timings: Daily at 1:00pm and 4:00pm for a maximum of four guests

2. Relax and rejuvenate in the most stunning surroundings with an underwater yoga or pilates class

Enjoy a unique yoga or pilates class immersed in the serenity of the underwater world at The Lost Chambers Aqaurium. Set against the ultimate backdrop of 65,000 colourful marine animals, prioitise in self-care and partake in an hour long class of either discipline, in one of the the most tranquil settings in Dubai. On the last Friday of every month, the yoga session is followed by a 30-minute Tibetan singing bowls meditation for a longer switch-off from the outside world. Yogis and pilates-goers must be 16 or over and bring their own towels and mats as per government Covid-19 guidelines.

3. Swim with dolphins and play with sea lions

Swim out to the depths of the dolphin lagoon and interact with Atlantis, The Palm’s resident bottlenose dolphins. A truly exhilarating experience, you’ll have the chance to be part of the dolphins’ exercise routine as you get to swim and glide alongside these majestic marine mammals.

Or why not get close to the resort’s incredible resident sea lions in waist deep water? Learn all about these animals’ anatomy and behaviours during daily enrichment sessions with the resort’s expert team of marine mammal specialists, who will also explain how the high standards of care they provide to the animals is the teams’ top priority.

4. Enjoy a delicious cocktail while being pampered with the ultimate manicure or pedicure

As the only nail bar in Dubai with in-salon mixologists, a visit to Nailology is a great way for ladies to treat themselves or celebrate life’s moments. The place to come for bespoke, luxurious nail treatments, together with a refreshing (and very instagrammable) cocktail or mocktail, Nailology offers services that go above and beyond the standard nail spa salon. 5. Ride some of the world’s tallest and longest slides at the world’s largest waterpark, Aquaventure

Thanks to the addition of Trident Tower which was opened earlier this year, Aquaventure is now home to several record-breaking slides and firsts in the region, making it the ultimate thrill-seeking experience. 6. Dive with sharks in one of the world’s biggest open-air aquariums

Certified divers can descend into the world-famous Ambassador Lagoon for an out-of this-world experience and hand-feed up to 11 different species of sharks and rays amongst 65,000 marine animals. And even if you’re not a certified diver, you can still enjoy the aquarium with the Atlantis Dive Discovery package. This experience is an introductory diving experience designed specifically for non-certified divers giving new divers a basic skill session before a 20-minute dive where you’ll meet our sharks, napoleon wrasse, colourful angel fish and butterflies amidst the ruins of Atlantis; a fantastic starting point to the full PADI diving certification.

7. Enjoy a underwater dining experience at Ossiano, the award-winning restaurant

Dubbed as Dubai’s most romantic underwater restaurant, the award-winning Ossiano hosts unforgettable immersive, underwater dining experiences. With views of gliding stingrays, sharks and fish, diners are invited to explore the Ossiano Kitchen special menu, a range of delectable, modern tapas from globally renowned foods that have been revisited through the chef’s creative lens.

8. Enjoy the ultimate staycation in an underwater suite

9. Dine at Seafire and try out a 65 day dry-aged Tomahawk steak

A New York-style restaurant and bar, it is renowned for its generous portion sizes, its extensive wine cellar, live entertainment, and of course, its world-famous beef. Chef de Cuisine, Raymond Wong and his team, invite diners to indulge in the exceptional 65 day dry-aged Tomahawk. To guarantee the finest cuts, Seafire has teamed up with Rangers Valley in Australia to produce a special breed of cattle, Black Onyx, exclusively for the restaurant. 10. Become a Marine Biologist for the day and learn about marine life and conservation

Young explorers and families with a keen interest in life underwater and the environment can get closer to nature through Atlantis, Dubai’s Marine Biologist programmes (Mini Marine, Junior Marine, and Master Marine). These experiences aim to nurture and develop a passion to protect marine life while educating them on the basics of animal care, feeding and maintenance with a tailored approach depending on the age group. For every marine animal experience booked, 1 USD will be donated to conservation, sustainability, and environmental education initiatives as part of the Atlantis Atlas Project.
