John Oddy,  Executive Vice President and General Counsel

John Oddy has acted as chief legal advisor to Kerzner International since August 2016. He provides counsel and guidance to the Leadership and the Board of Directors and is responsible for the direction and management of the Kerzner International’s overall legal affairs and negotiations related to the strategic growth of the Company worldwide.

Kerzner International, through its subsidiaries, is a leading global developer and operator of destination resorts, ultra-luxury hotels and residences and innovative entertainment and gaming experiences. Kerzner International’s flagship brand, Atlantis, includes Atlantis, The Palm, a 1,500-room, entertainment resort destination on The Palm, overlooking the Arabian Sea and mainland Dubai; Atlantis, Sanya in China, as well as Atlantis, The Royal Resort & Residences in Dubai in development.  Under the One&Only Resorts brand, Kerzner International manages some of the most the top-rated, ultra-luxury resort properties in the world, located in Malaysia, Mexico, Mauritius, Montenegro, the Maldives, South Africa, Dubai, Australia and Rwanda. Additionally, Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort, a 500-room destination golf and casino resort in Morocco, is also operated by Kerzner International, and in 2021, Kerzner introduced SIRO, a new, immersive lifestyle resort experience conceived with fitness and wellbeing at the core.

Prior to joining Kerzner International, Mr. Oddy spent six years at H.H. The Ruler’s Court as a legal advisor to the Government of Dubai, and before that worked within the Dubai World business unit. During his time as a legal advisor to the Government of Dubai, he provided legal advice to the Government and its departments on a broad range of domestic and international legal issues and oversaw a team focused on resolving disputes and cross-border matters involving international protocol and treaties. Mr. Oddy has previously resided in London and Paris, and he received his Bachelor of Law degree from Adelaide University in 2002.
