Dee Paulse, Resort Manager, One&Only Gorilla's Nest
Dee Paulse is the Resort Manager for One&Only Gorilla's Nest. Dee joins us from the first One&Only property in Rwanda, One&Only Nyungwe House, where she held the position of Resort Manager.
Before her role at One&Only Nyungwe House, Dee had joined One&Only Gorilla's Nest as the Food & Beverage Manager. She was part of the opening team in 2019 and was instrumental in shaping the standards and culture whilst creating localized touches celebrating the destination. A strategic business leader for the resort, Dee's role encompasses focusing on overall guest needs, overseeing CSR programmes in conjunction with the local community, and developing experiences and collaborations with partners to enhance the resort's offerings.
Dee studied in Cape Town, South Africa. She moved to Rwanda after working around the world for 17 years in roles including Lodge Manager for Amankora Punakha, Bhutan; Assistant Food & Beverage Manager for Kurumba Maldives; and Food & Beverage Manager for Song Saa Private Island in Cambodia. Dee is energetic, dedicated and passionate about hospitality and working together as a team. She believes in the philosophy, "If something is worth doing, it's worth doing well". Dee will develop a strategy to promote innovation and retain the top-tier, award-winning reputation of One&Only Gorilla's Nest locally and internationally.
When she is not at work, she is travelling, exploring and experiencing new adventures and foods – the more unique, the better.
