Roman Goetsch joined One&Only Le Saint Géran as General Manager in August 2020. Following a multi-million-dollar investment in 2017, One&Only Le Saint Géran, emerged transformed as a modern-day icon, and Roman leads the Team into the next phase of the resort’s storied history. Located on an exclusive tropical peninsula and long celebrated as the legendary luxury retreat in Mauritius, the resort’s rebirth introduced elegant new guest rooms, dynamic culinary experiences, playful swimming pools with cabanas, reimagined public spaces, a stunning new spa, Club One, and a range of ultra-modern facilities, as well as 52 One&Only Private Homes currently under development.

Responsible for overseeing the entire resort operation, Roman is charged with driving innovation at One&Only Le Saint Géran, setting the standard for ultra-luxury in the Indian Ocean and introducing new experiences for guests, while retaining the warm, genuine service for which the resort is famed. Roman brings a wealth of hospitality experience to One&Only, together with a commitment to service excellence and understanding of the global luxury industry

Roman joins One&Only from the Hotel Bristol in Warsaw, Poland, a Luxury Collection hotel, where in his role as General Manager, Roman received multiple accolades including Travel+Leisure 2019 Top 100 Hotels in the World and Travel+Leisure 2019 Top 10 City Hotels in Europe. Prior to this, Roman was General Manager for The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa in Mauritius for 5 years from 2012 - 2017, overseeing the rebranding and reopening of the 190-room resort and spa. Roman has also worked for a number of years in the Middle East garnering extensive experience of hotel management at properties including W Doha Hotel & Residences in Qatar, W Istanbul in Turkey and Sheraton Amman in Jordan. Dedicating the early stages of his career to Food & Beverage, Roman held several management roles in locations across Europe.

Roman was a member of Westin’s EAME and Global Advisory Boards and was selected as a mentor for Marriott International’s Luxury Europe Mentorship Programme. Originally from Switzerland, Roman is fluent in German and French.
