One&Only Reethi Rah - Culinary Experiences

An array of innovative dining choices awaits guests at One&Only Reethi Rah, with six diverse cuisine offerings to discover. The culinary ethos at the resort is centred on quality ingredients prepared with passion and flair, and the team of expert chefs source the finest fresh produce from around the world including locally sourced Maldivian tuna, lobster and coconuts, as well as herbs, vegetables and fruit from the Chef’s Garden. In thatched pavilions over the ocean, under the branches of a banyan tree or on Arabian carpets in the sand, guests enjoy an outstanding level of service and gastronomic creativity. From natural farm-to-fork cuisine through to refined French brasserie dining, as well as Asian, Italian, modern Japanese, fresh seafood and Middle Eastern mezze, there is an endless choice of authentic and exotic flavours to enjoy.

Reethi Restaurant - A Theatre of Dining

At the heart of the island, Reethi Restaurant has a spectacular setting, rich colours, and the ever-changing scenery of the sky and ocean all around.

For breakfast, Reethi Restaurant serves a tempting array of freshly baked pastries, tropical fruits and healthy superfood dishes from the open dining space overlooking the ocean. Guests can order chef-prepared dishes from the extensive a la carte menu, sip freshly squeezed juices and barista-prepared coffee, and choose from the extensive fresh buffet selection - an ideal way to begin a day in paradise.

By night, the restaurant offers two distinct dining experiences: Earth for distinctive dining over exquisitely executed pan-Asian inspired dishes and fine grilled flavours from the land, farm, and sea in a charcoal oven.; Hoshi – journeying from its original home shores of One&Only Desaru Coast, Hoshi brings the art and expertise of Japanese cuisine to the white sands of the Maldives. These two restaurants have two distinctive seating areas and the coup de theatre at the centre - a floor-to-ceiling vast, glass cube housing the cold kitchen where chefs create magical dishes from around the world.

Guests can dine on a sensational granite platform at the water’s edge, looking straight out to sea. Hoshi provides a chic and more intimate ambience with its hand carved columns, water feature and glittering blue glass tiles from Italy. Further into Reethi, the Earth section of the restaurant is a magnificent setting with a giant wicker ball hanging from the ceiling that acts as both an impressive statement piece and focal point in the restaurant. Earth also enjoys wraparound decking for guests wanting to dine over the ocean and enjoy the finest views of the Maldives.

Part of Reethi Restaurant, the glass-fronted Epicure, flanked by two walk-in wine cellars, hosts wine pairing dinners, tastings, classes and events. Epicure holds some of the island’s 9,000 bottles of wine in its cellar, including some of finest bottles in the world, which have travelled from as far away as the valleys of California, the Châteaux of Bordeaux, the lush wineries of Australia and the Winelands of South Africa.

Fanditha – A Romantic Fantasy at One&Only Reethi Rah

On the northernmost point of the island is Fanditha, an exotic beach restaurant and bar, with carpets in the sand, chill-out swing sofas and giant cushions. Meaning “magic” in Dhivehi, Fanditha specialises in Middle Eastern food serving mezzes, grills, dips and freshly baked saaj Arabic bread. The best location on the island to see the magnificent Maldivian sunsets, guests can lounge on inviting daybeds facing the ocean to watch the sun sink under the horizon during the ‘Magical Hours’. The boho-chic décor is accented with vintage brass hurricane lamps, flickering candles, richly patterned Arabian rugs and crystal chandeliers suspended from palm trees. Vast buckets are filled with chilled magnums of rosé wine and champagne, whilst shisha pipes add to the mystique of this wild and romantic location.

Botanica Restaurant

Set in a hidden garden lit by flickering candlelight, Botanica serves natural ‘farm-to-fork’ and purely plant-based cuisine. The talented chefs have curated a menu that showcases fresh and rare ingredients, many of which are gathered from the restaurant’s abundant vegetable and herb gardens. Dishes such as Avocado Tikka and Smoky Wagyu Tartar leave guests with a true taste of the blissful surrounding. Guests can sit in an idyllic al fresco potager amidst the natural vegetables and herbs or surrounded by hundreds of coloured blooms in the Orchid House. Botanica’s Gin Bar serves a selection of 34 different gins from around the world, all perfectly paired with herbs, fruits and flavours from the Chef’s Garden to match the unique characteristics of each gin. Once a week, Botanica comes alive with live acoustic performances, while guests can enjoy a tasting menu that has been carefully curated to use the surrounding fare from the Chef’s Garden.

Rabarbaro

Located at one of the most picturesque spots on the island, overlooking the iconic infinity pool, Rabarbaro serves casual, freshly prepared Italian fare. From the restaurant deck or the bar, gaze out to where the turquoise ocean meets endless azure skies.

Rah Bar

Adjacent to the pool, Rah Bar offers an all-day menu of healthy salads, wraps and snacks, as well as offering healthy smoothies made with exotic fresh fruit and vegetables, and a variety of waters. As night falls, the ambience comes alive and Rah Bar transforms into a vibrant and chic cocktail bar. Expert mixologists create intricate cocktails from an expansive and innovative menu at the sunken bar, while nightly live music fills the lofty ceiling and drifts out towards the panoramic ocean views. Boasting sparkling champagne, a fine collection of rums from the Indian Ocean and Caribbean islands, an impressive selection of cigars and after-dinner vintage cognacs, Rah Bar is a captivating place for guests to end the evening.

Tapasake

While Tapasake is undergoing exciting renovations in 2023, we are offering Japanese cuisine through our pop-up outlet Hoshi, located at Reethi complex, where guests can enjoy a world-class Japanese experience as well as some classic Japanese favorites. These planned refurbishments aim to instill new life and vibrance to our beloved signature restaurant and are in sync with the resort's dedication to offering the perfect mix of ultimate, exceptional, and elegant dining experiences.

Hoshi

Hoshi journeys from its original home shores from One&Only Desaru Coast to bring the expertise and art of Japanese cuisine to the white sands of the Maldives. Inspired by a revered ancient celestial love story from Japan, Hoshi marries traditional Japanese sensibility with modern culinary techniques.

The Beach Club at Club One

Serving the freshest selection of salads, seafood and grills complemented by incredible views across the turquoise lagoon. Stylish feet-in-the-sand casual dining, against the soundtrack of the Indian Ocean waves and the latest chill-out music, guests will want to linger in this idyllic setting.

Theme Nights

Offering guests even more choice and variety, the resort hosts a number of themed evenings in various areas around the island. Each evening brings with it a host of delicious cuisine, unforgettable entertainment and flowing drinks.

Acoustic Night: Dine in the gardens of Botanica and enjoy natural produce from land and sea. Watch as the herbs and vegetables flourishing around you are picked and cooked in ways that retain their goodness and enhance their natural flavour. An Arabian Affair: From the lands of the Middle East to the shores of Fanditha, a magical evening awaits. Indulge in this Arabian Affair of delights with mouth-watering mezze, soups and our famous shawarmas. Each dish is carefully crafted with spices from the souks of the Middle East and meats from around the world. Guests can choose to dine in the privacy of their secluded villa as One&Only Reethi Rah’s beautiful setting provides the perfect canvas for memorable private dining.
