TESSA GORMAN

Tessa Gorman is the General Manager of One&Only Portonovi. Tessa is responsible for the ongoing operation of the ultra-luxury resort in Montenegro, the first One&Only in Europe. She leads the dedicated resort team, introducing extraordinary guest experiences that celebrate the best of the Adriatic Coast.

Located on the picturesque shores of Boka Bay, surrounded by a dramatic coastline and spectacular mountains, One&Only Portonovi, which opened in 2021, was one of Europe’s most anticipated new destinations. Guests can explore a nautical playground, immerse themselves in science-led wellness at the resort’s Chenot Espace, discover fascinating UNESCO World Heritage sites or escape to the resort’s sparkling pools and private sandy beach that rivals the finest in the Mediterranean.

Tessa joined One&Only Portonovi from Bulgari Resort in Bali, where she was General Manager overseeing an operation of 64 freestanding villas and privately owned mansions, as well as four F&B outlets, including a partnership with a Michelin-starred Chef. In this role, Tessa spearheaded a number of achievements, including the highest GOP since opening, record F&B revenue, and 99% employee engagement. Tessa received the General Manager of the Year award for Consumer Operations Leadership by Marriott Asia Pacific for 2020 and was named “Woman of Today” by Quintessentially Travel the same year.

Tessa was previously General Manager at Phulay Bay, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Thailand, and she has experience consulting for luxury boutique properties and brands, including Bulgari, Ritz-Carlton, Aman and Cheval Blanc, as well as expertise in managing branded private homes. She began her career in Recruitment and Training as well as Sales but quickly transitioned into Rooms, overseeing operations of luxury villas.

Tessa is passionate about nature and outdoor activities, her hobbies include hiking, sailing, and skiing and she enjoys exploring Montenegro’s beautiful and diverse landscape.
