Hakkasan Dubai Joins Forces With World-Renowned Professional Bartender Aki Wang For An Exclusive Two-Night Mixology Experience

Kicking off this year’s world-class culinary events and collaborations, the one Michelin star Hakkasan Dubai welcomes Aki Wang of Taipei’s Indulge Experimental Bistro, an Asia’s 50 Best Bars mainstay.
Taking place for two nights only, on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th April, the bar team at Hakkasan Dubai will unite with Aki Wang, one of the world’s leading mixology talents, for a world-class collaboration featuring signature cocktails and mocktails. Beverage enthusiasts can order from the specially curated menu as Aki Wang and the team of bartenders flaunt their skills and create a variety of tailor-made, exclusive drinks.
Each evening, guests can choose from six signature cocktails or two mocktail creations, meticulously crafted for the occasion. The cocktails mixed by Aki Wang and his team are theatrical in nature and focus on Taiwan’s tea-growing heritage while brimming with imagination. Diners can indulge in ‘Upside Down’ with Havana Club 3YO rum, toffee and milk extraction, roasted coffee and tea extraction and a spices and herb foam, or try ‘Chasing Helichrysum’ with Belvedere vodka, green tea and truffle infuse, rosewood and helichrysum sweet and sour mix. Hakkasan believes in delivering a complete sensory experience with every cocktail to invigorate all senses; the bar team’s creations include ‘Lang-Di’ with Roku gin, jasmine cordial, butterfly pea flower tincture and light tonic and ‘Han Dynasty’ featuring Maker’s Mark bourbon, mezcal, dry vermouth, Banyuls sweet wine, Averna, vanilla and Ardbera.
Guests can enjoy the exclusive, signature drinks at the chic bar, in the stylish lounge area, or the intimate and elegant dining space alongside Hakkasan’s unique cuisine blending delicious authentic Cantonese recipes with contemporary influences. In addition, guests ordering the Dragon or Pearl set menus can add a personalised cocktail pairing experience for AED 198, featuring three of the speciality cocktails, or a non-alcoholic pairing experience for AED 138.
A three-time international cocktail competition winner lovingly known as “The Godfather of Chinese Cocktails,” Aki Wang is renowned for the liqueurs he creates using hand-picked native teas. Considered at the forefront of Taipei’s flourishing bar scene, Aki Wang’s Indulge Experimental Bistro has been a mainstay on Asia’s 50 Best Bars since its debut at No. 5 in 2017. One of the best-performing venues in the history of the ranking, Indulge has made an appearance six times on the Asia’s 50 Best Bars list, most recently ranked No. 4 in 2021, as well as being named the Best Bar in Taiwan and ranking four times on the World’s 50 Best Bars list, most recently at No. 43 in 2020.
