The Lost Chambers Aquarium & The Ambassador Lagoon
Lost for thousands of years deep beneath the sea, the ancient ruins of The Lost City of Atlantis have finally been uncovered. Guests can experience the myth of Atlantis through the resort’s AZA-accredited Lost Chambers Aquarium and The Ambassador Lagoon. With daily complimentary access offered to all guests of Atlantis, The Ambassador Lagoon and The Lost Chambers Aquarium combined are home to over 250 species and 65,000 marine animals including Moon Jellies, Moray Eels, Lobsters, Eagle Rays, and Arabian Carpetsharks. These are thriving educational environments for all guests to discover marine life and learn more about how to protect it. Atlantis, Dubai was the first destination in the Middle East to receive accreditation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), the international gold standard for animal welfare, in March 2020. The aquatic destination became a member of World Associations of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) in August 2021. From June 2021 onwards, for every marine experience booked at The Lost Chambers and The Ambassador Lagoon, 1 USD will be contributed to conservation, sustainability, and environmental education initiatives as part of Atlantis Atlas Project.

MARINE EXPLORERS PROGRAMME
Experience first-hand, in this family friendly programme, what it takes to be part of our Aquarist team and join them in the shallow water of Aquaventure’s Shark Lagoon. Get an up-close look at starfish, sea cucumbers and other rockpool species. This hour-long programme will also include an exclusive chance to feed baby rays and learn about how we care for them.

SHARK SPECIALIST PROGRAMME
Budding Shark Specialists will enjoy a visit to the state-of-the-art Fish Hospital with our Aquarists and learn about our different species of sharks and how we care for them. Guests will get a chance to feed our sharks, learn about our breeding programmes and discover what it takes to care for 65,000 marine animals in The Lost Chambers Aquarium.

DOLPHIN SPECIALIST PROGRAMME
A unique behind the scenes experience of our world-class facilities with a Marine Mammal Specialist to learn what it takes to care for our resident dolphins at Atlas Village. Dolphin Specialists will experience first-hand how to prepare food, participate in a physical health examination and take part in an up-close training session with a dolphin.

SHARK SNORKEL PROGRAMME
Guests can swim on the surface of The Shark Lagoon and marvel at stunning shark species including those native to the UAE, such as Whitetip Reef Sharks and Arabian Carpetsharks, as well as different species of ray and a whole host of other colourful marine life. Experienced marine experts guide guests on a journey around the top of The Shark Lagoon, a mesmerising marine habitat and underwater exhibit.

FISH TALES TOUR
For those who marvel at life underwater, visitors can join a guided tour back of house at The Fish Hospital on a Fish Tales Tour, to see Atlantis Dubai’s shark and ray breeding programmes which help to restore local populations in Dubai waters and learn about conservation.

A first of its kind in the region and set against the mesmerising tranquillity of the Ambassador Lagoon, guests are invited to take part in underwater yoga at The Lost Chambers Aquarium. Surrounded by a majestic 65,000 marine animals, guests have the opportunity to be rejuvenated and restored in a unique aquatic surrounding practising Hatha Yoga, wellness disciplines that help bring peace to the mind and body. THE AMBASSADOR LAGOON
The Ambassador Lagoon is an 11 million litre, 10-metre-deep, marine habitat and underwater exhibit home to 250 species of marine life and 65,000 marine animals, with a viewing panel looking directly into the mystical ruins of Atlantis. This habitat focuses on marine life found in the local waters of the Arabian Gulf, including golden trevally, cobias, crescent angelfish and a variety of sharks and rays. Here, guests can watch the sea life peacefully while learning about fish species and ocean preservation.
