Timothy Kelly

President Atlantis Global, Kerzner International

Timothy Kelly, President Atlantis Global, Kerzner International, has more than 30 years of international experience in the general management of hotel, restaurant, and casino resort operations. During his career, he has opened large scale integrated resorts, master-planned properties, developed new brand concepts, and managed multiple property portfolios internationally in Las Vegas, Macau, and Dubai.

Kelly currently reports to the CEO of Kerzner International while representing all Atlantis brands to the Board of Directors. In his current role, Kelly oversees all operations and strategic direction for Atlantis The Palm, Atlantis The Royal and Atlantis Sanya with over $1.3 billion in annual revenues and over 10,000 colleagues globally. He is responsible for the global development and expansion of the Atlantis resort and residential components. In 2023, Timothy created the first luxury brand for the organization unveiling Atlantis the Royal, named in the “World’s 50 Best Hotels” and receiving a “Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Award” in the first year of operations. Kelly rebuilt Atlantis Dubai into a gastronomy destination having the most celebrity chef brands in the world with the most Michelin Stars in the Middle East. Kelly is also responsible for all capital projects having managed over $500 million of investment to reposition Atlantis the Palm and create the largest waterpark in the world with 105 different attractions.  He also delivered the first luxury retail stores in a resort in the Middle East integrated into the guest experience with Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, and Graff.

Having held the role of Senior Vice President of Resort Operations at Wynn Palace, Cotai, Kelly’s role with Wynn Resorts was to direct all resort operations ensuring the guest experience, service standards, property maintenance, and established division KPIs were consistently achieved. In addition, Kelly was instrumental in the opening of Wynn Palace, a luxury integrated resort and casino that opened in Macau in 2016. Kelly at the time was the only leader to have worked in Las Vegas, Macau and Cotai in a senior role for the organization. His strategic operational leadership was instrumental in growing market share, revenues, and profitability across all properties.

Prior to joining Wynn Resorts, Kelly held the title of Vice President of Hotel Operations at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he managed a portfolio totalling 6,760 rooms, consisting of MGM Grand, West Wing, Skylofts, Mansion and The Signature Residences. It was here that Kelly’s emphasis on guest experience, through the implementation of personalised service strategies, and the introduction of a new brand concept “Skylofts at MGM Grand” led to MGM Resorts International achieving their first “Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Award” in the history of the company.

Kelly’s leadership excellence afforded him to be the first representative of Forbes Travel Guide Service Advisory Committee, representing the Asia-Pacific Region, on Five-Star luxury service and maintenance standards. Kelly was appointed to the Nevada Hotel Lodging Association Board of Directors for 3 years, lobbying the state legislature on bills that would support the hospitality industry. He was recognized with a Lifetime Membership by Les Clefs d’Or International®, for his work and support of concierge services worldwide. He has also given back to the community, as an adjunct professor at the College of Southern Nevada, and as an advisor on the Children’s Heart Foundation.

Tim graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1993, with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration and received his Master of Hospitality Administration degree (MHA gaming track) from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2021. Kelly is a Canadian citizen while currently residing in Dubai, UAE with his wife Andrea and their two children.
