Dee Paulse

Dee Paulse is the Resort Manager for One&Only Nyungwe House, one of two ultra-luxury One&Only resorts in Rwanda. Surrounded by rainforest, and alongside its own tea plantation, it offers forest living, captivating wildlife and unforgettable moments in nature.

A strategic business leader for the resort, Dee’s role encompasses focusing on overall guest needs, overseeing CSR programmes in conjunction with the local community, and developing experiences and collaborations with partners to enhance the resort's offerings. Prior to this role, Dee was the Food & Beverage Manager for One&Only Gorilla’s Nest. Dee joined the resort as part of the opening team in 2019 and was instrumental in shaping the standards and culture, whilst creating localised touches that celebrate the destination.

Dee studied in Cape Town, South Africa. She moved to Rwanda after working around the world for 17 years, in roles including Lodge Manager for Amankora Punakha, Bhutan; Assistant Food & Beverage Manager for Kurumba Maldives; and Food & Beverage Manager for Song Saa Private Island in Cambodia. Dee is energetic, dedicated and passionate about hospitality and working together as a team. She believes in the philosophy, “If something is worth doing, it’s worth doing well”. With her love for people and nature, she aims to build on the success of One&Only Nyungwe House by continuing to create a legacy of enriching lives by connecting people, places and meaningful experiences. 

When she is not at work, she is travelling, exploring and experiencing new adventures and foods – the more unique, the better.
