Jerome Colson

Jerome Colson is the General Manager of One&Only Kéa Island in Greece, currently under development. Situated on an expansive beachfront on the west side of Kéa Island in the Cyclades, One&Only Kea Island, will be home to a collection of 75 elegant resort villas and an enviable collection of Private Homes. As General Manager, Jerome will lead the opening of the resort, overseeing all operational elements, guest experience and strategy, including building an exceptional Team of colleagues and creating bespoke One&Only experiences.

Prior to One&Only Kéa Island, Jerome was General Manager at One&Only Desaru Coast, an ultra-luxury beachfront retreat located in Malaysia’s tropical south-east, and the first One&Only in Asia as part of the expanding collection. Managing the resort from pre-opening until 2022, Jerome spearheaded the successful opening, driving remarkable success and industry recognition for the resort, with inclusion in the prestigious Travel + Leisure It List 2021, and Condé Nast Traveller’s Hot List 2021. Jerome has been a valued member of the Kerzner Team since 2012, holding leadership roles at One&Only Le Saint Géran in Mauritius and One&Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives, as well as in the Middle East. Before One&Only, Jerome worked for Ayana Resort and Spa in Bali and The Portman Ritz-Carlton in Shanghai. Bringing more than 20 years of hospitality experience to the role, Jerome has an extensive past portfolio that encompasses roles at a number of luxury hotel brands across the globe inclusive of the US, China, Southeast Asia, the Indian Ocean, the Middle East and now Europe.

Jerome exudes the culture and philosophy of personalised and warm service. He is a strong leader that imbues excellence in his Team - at One&Only Le Saint Géran he brought guest satisfaction to its highest rating since 2008. His passion for hospitality and service began at Ritz-Carlton, where he worked within the Food and Beverage division, travelling from California, USA to Shanghai, China. Jerome has also worked for Ayana Resort and Spa, Bali, which was recognised by Condé Nast Traveller as the ‘Best Resort in Asia 2011’ during his tenure.

A Belgian national, Jerome studied Hotel and Catering Management in École Hôtelière Strasbourg-Illkirch in France. A sports fanatic, he is passionate about endurance sports, including road cycling, marathons and ultra-trail running, as well as a keen golfer, diver and skier. He is fluent in both French and English, and is married with and two children.
